Roberto Zetune was born in the city of Carmelo, state of Colonia, Uruguay.

He completed primary, secondary studies and graduate

studies in the same city.

In 1957 he relocate to the city of Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, where he completed his further studies.

He was qualified as an architect at the University of the Uruguay Republic, Faculty of Architecture, specializing in city planning.

Professional experience

Once qualified, He opened his own design studio, in which he developed a professional practice, planning and constructing local commercial and industrial enterprises.

In 1975, Roberto Zetune opened his studio in Israel, which has   remained active until the present time.

He was awarded a grant for architectural city planning which involved the remodeling of cottage districts organized by the Ra'anana Municipality, which received accolades by the city council.

Since then his work has been mainly projects for public

institutions.

Planned projects include: cultural, commercials and office buildings, kindergartens, schools, community centers, industrial complexes and private dwellings.

There are infrastructure projects of a more technical nature such as bridges, tunnels, etc.; the more prominent of which are: the Kfar Shmariahu bridge and underground highway, the Ganot N6 Bridge (the longest bridge in Israel) and the Ben Gurion Airport Bridge (incline and curved exit from the Ben-Gurion Airport towards Jerusalem).

 Teaching experience: 

During his career, Roberto Zetune instructs several courses in educational institutions.

Making use of his knowledge and vast experience, he returns to the educational activity, coaching courses on art and cultural architecture.
